The Countdown begins......

Wow! It's official I have about one week left before I enter the MTC. I can hardly believe it. It seems like just yesterday it was July and I had just received my mission call. Now I am frantically trying to figure out what I have left to buy and what I need to do before I leave (Like trying to get loan payments postponed and get some missionary pics taken, I know last minute) Anyway, this next week is going to be busy. Meanwhile somewhere in there I need to prepare my talk for Sunday. I'm kinda nervous about it. I have never been the main speaker before. Hopefully I can think of enough things to say : ) Wish me luck, I'm going to need it.

Fair, Symphonies, Movies....what fun!!

Things have been so crazy around here lately. Time just seems to be flying by. I can't believe that in a little over a month I will be leaving on my mission. I have bought half of the clothes I need and still need to find time to finish. This past month has been so fun. We were able to go to the fair. Tiger Ears, Funnel Cakes, Corn on the cobb yummy!! The main reason we came down was because my mom sang with Lyle Albertson's band on the free stage. It was fun see her up their having a good time. I never get tired of hearing her sing, and I dread the day that she won't be able to play the guitar anymore.

Then this past Saturday Maggie and I went to the Idaho Falls Symphony in the Park. It was held at Freeman Park. It was alot of fun. They started with a big band and there were some couples swing dancing. Then the symphony came on a played some cool songs. Thanks Maggie for coming with me. It was fun to sit and talk and catch up.
Today was my last day of work at Mountain View. I will surely miss it. I met somewonderful people there and have learned from them imensely. I decided to leave early so that I can work in spud harvest and then have some time for myself to finish getting ready for my mission. As a going away party we went and had lunch at Texas Roadhouse and then went and watched Julie and Julia I loved it! It made me want to go home and cook something amazing! It was a great day and I was sad to see it end. Here is a picture of me with my boss Lisa and my coworker and good friend Jewel.

Night at the Movies!!

This past Friday Diana and I decided to go out to eat and see a movie. We ate at Red Robin which was delicious and then we left to go get our seats at the movie. We went and saw the newest Harry Potter movie Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I really liked it.The characters are older and I feel like they have all become better actors. It was great. Although it wasn't as good as the book, but nothing ever is. If anyone needs a buddy to go see it with I would be more than willing, I am already planning on seeing it again with my parents. Happy Watching!!

P.S. Last week I turned in my mission papers!! The countdown begins as I wait for my call.(Geri I know I still haven't called you. Sorry.)

A Miracle

Today is a beautiful day! The sun is shining and I am happy. Happy Mother's day to all the mothers. I know that I am truly grateful for my mom. This last week I have witnessed a miracle. Since I am now home for the summer I needed to find a job. So after putting off looking for about a week I went to work. I went and got my hair done with plans to hand out my resume afterwards. When I went to turn in my resume to various business' I realized that there was a mistake on them that needed to be fixed. This made me really frustrated another day of job hunting ruined. I was still hopeful that I would find a job, but lets face it jobs are scarce right now. Anyway I got home and I jumped on the computer to fix my mistake, I decided to check my email and there was an email from my old boss from last summer offering me a job. I was so happy I ran in and told my mom. Needless to say I started work the next day and I already feel at home at my old/new job. Lisa,my boss, told me she was feeling frustrated and overwhelmed with work when she was scrolling through old emails and came across mine, and she knew that I could help her out. I firmly believe that it was a blessing from Heavenly Father that she was looking at her email when she did. I am so grateful for all my blessings. So once again I am working at Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls as an assistant in administration. Its going to be a great summer!!

Where has April gone?

I can't beleive that we are already in the last week of April. I apologize for the lack of posts but it has been crazy. Hopefully this won't be too long, but I thought I would take the time to tell of some of my adventures. Finals are finallly over. YAY!!!! It was such a big relief. As a celebration me and some friends decided to go dumster diving ( this is when we go to krispy cream, and little ceasears after closing and see if they have thrown anything out) Last semester we did this and had great success.
Sadly we found nothing at Krispy Kreme I think they finally realized what was happening, but we did find some pizza at Little Cesears. I was scared of it...who knew how old it was? Well we took it home anyway and after decided that it was best not to eat it we........had a pizza fight.

It was so much fun. It was a good thing we didn't eat the pizza because it was so hard that it didn't even break when we threw it at eachother. This is a picture of Ben throwing a piece at Mason. It gave us all a good laugh. What a fun way to ends finals. On thurdsay night we hiked up to some hot springs in Spanish Fork. I had a good time. Sadly I did not get any pics because it was really dark and my camera has issues with night pictures. Oh well, we all smelled like sulfur when we got home. YUCK! I finally came home this past weekend and it feels wonderful. I was only home for about a day then we headed up to Montana to see Lacey and the kids.

Tylin and Tanner are both getting so big. I didn't want to leave. I love those kids. They brought a smile to my face. Well I am now once again at home. Now all I have to do is find a job.

I think I am going Crazy!

Okay, so I don't have very long because I really should be in bed since i have to get up in less than six hours, but I just wanted to say that I am still chugging along trying to get last minute asignments done. Next week is my last day of classes then finals week starts on friday :( I wanted to get my finals dones early but alas I have a scheduled final on Wednesday at night. How dumb is that? Anyway I will try to post more, but my life is a little crazy here lately. Despite already being sleep deprived and eating way to much ( I am a stress eater) I am happy. This weekend should be exciting I'm going to a choir concert and a ballroom concert so it should be fun. Well that's all I have to say right now. Until next time, have a fabulous day!!

p.s. this is my FHE brother Joseph. I feel
like his face sums up how I am feeling
right about now. I just want
the next two weeks to be over.

My New Favorite Song

My roommate, Amy and I heard this song the other day and fell in love with it. I do believe that cello is my new favorite instrument. Its so relxing and rich sounding. Our FHE brother Ben played it for us on his cello and I admit its even better in person. So just in case you wanted to be totally relaxed by the soft melody i posted a video of it here just for you. (p.s. no this isn't my fhe brother, but he is really good at playing the cello)

Where has the time gone?

Okay, So everyday I have told myself to post something new and then the day comes and goes and I find I still haven't accomplished anything on my todo list. These last couple of weeks have been pretty busy with school and life in general. Life is good though. I can't complain. Recently my FHE group made a video for a ward activity. It was pretty fun I would try to explain it but I fear you wouldn't understand. I think one of the guys is going to post it on facebook or something I'll let you know if they do.On Saturday I went country dancing for the first time. It was a lot of fun although I didn't know what i was doing have the time. I am taking a country dance class, but they don't do the same steps there at the center. My teacher likes to call it no rhythm dancing :) It was fun though until a guy was like now you jump on me and I was like...you want me to do what? The girls are fearless there. I couldn't do half the lifts and things that they do. Oh I was also dipped a couple of times which was fun. It was funny though thats how they ended every dance its like a dance wasn't complete without a good ol dip. It was fun. On Sunday we watched Chariot's of Fire with mu FHE brothers. They have realized how uncultured we are, so they invite us whenever they watch classic films. Anyway it was good. Last week we watched Life is Beautiful which is one of my new favorite movies. Although it is sad its a must see. Just to warn you it is in Italian so its in subtitles but its totally worth it. Okay I will quit boring you all to death. Hoepfully next time I will have some more exciting information to tell you.

I Could Have Danced All Night

This past weekend was the national amateur dancesport competition. If you don't know what that is its a big ballroom competition. I competed Friday morning in the quickstep, it was for one of my classes I am taking in school. Friday night I had the opportunity to go and watch the best dancers compete. It was amazing. I have never seen so many good dancers before and their costumes were gorgeous. Look at their dresses, I wanted to get all dressed up too. I got there around 5:30pm to watch my classmates in the quarterfinal and I stayed until 11:30pm and they still weren't quite finished yet. I just couldn't leave. I love dancing and I love to watch people dance, they just make it look so easy when in reality its not. Believe me I know, I don't look very graceful doing the waltz. :) Once again I have made a resolution to become a better dancer. Sadly I think that in order to get better I will need to do more than just take classes here at BYU, but who knows...maybe one day that will be me...a girl can hope can't she?

p.s. my bum is still sore from sitting on the bleachers all night. Note to self, next time take a blanket to sit on.

Its a Love Hate Relationship.

Okay, So last night I realized I was going to be up later than I had expected so I decided to give into the munchies that I always get. My choice of snack POPCORN( It was the 94%fat free kind- I am trying to be good ) Anyway I quite enjoyed it...in fact I ate the whole bag :( Somehow i just kept eating and eventually I look down and the bag is empty. So today I was at school and then all of a sudden my tongue felt something on my tooth..... it was one of those kearnel things. Anyway it was down in my gum and it was bugging me, but I'm sure you all know what I mean when I say it won't go away. I kept on digging at it with my tongue until my mouth hurt and still no progress. Rats. Why does there always have to be one kernel that sticks around the next day? Needless to say it had to stay there all day.

Procrastination Queen!!

I am known for my procrastination, and ironically some of my best work is done at the last minute. i just wish that for once I would get things done early so I wouldn't have to stay up at all hours of the night. A perfect example is tonight. Right now I should be reading my History but no who wants to read about the Chinese Dynasty when you can start a blog. I admit I have been thinking about starting a blog for awhile and well what better time than tonight, when I want to do something other than my homework. Someday I will get over my procrastination, but that won't be tonght. I hope to keep my blog updated, but with my busy schedule who knows. We shall see.
